Abstract: The poultry industry in Bangladesh is an oligopoly and this case focuses on the distribution strategies, competitive advantages, future opportunities, and challenges faced by Provita Poultry Farm, based in Bangladesh. It explores the major challenges faced by Provita, including inconsistent chick pricing, excessive feed prices, high-interest-rate bank loans, and potential illnesses. In addition, the case also discusses potential government initiatives for the growth of poultry farms in the country. It explores how the government policies, such as expanding subsidies and tax benefits, and promoting public-private partnerships, would help Provita as well as other farms in Bangladesh’s emerging poultry industry to grow.
